The Walker Brothers

Pop superstars in the '60s (in Europe, at least), The Walker Brothers are now more notable for being the band that launched the career of the enigmatic Scott Walker; a notion reflected by the fact that the majority of the biographies and compilations that look back at the band's career also include Scott's first four albums. They enjoyed two chart toppers with "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine (Anymore)" and "Make it Easy on Yourself", before disbanding in 1968; a surprise reunion album arrived in 1976 with Nite Flights, although again, the album was overshadowed by the Scott Walker solo material present on it, which set the tone for his experimental album Climate of Hunter, Tilt, and The Drift.
