The Omar Rodriguez Lopez Quartet is yet another side project organized by The Mars Volta guitarist, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. The band features fellow Mars Volta members Juan Alderete & Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez, and frequent collaborator John Frusciante. The Quartet's debut, Sepulcros de Miel, is comprised of one long composition divided into several parts. The album features the usual Progressive rock sound of Rodriguez-Lopez' pervious efforts, while focusing more on improvisational musicianship.
