The 69 Eyes began in the early 90's as a sleazy glam rock band, but after the debut album they began to move in more of a Goth rock direction. They recieved a large amount of publicity from a stint with Nuclear Blast Records and the critical acclaim that came for their album Devils.Trademarks of their sound are the buzzsaw guitar tones, cinematic atmosphere from synthesizers, and the deep velvety voice of lead singer Jyrki 69.
