Steven "Jesse" Bernstein (December 4, 1950 – October 22, 1991) was a spoken word artist from Seattle, Washington. Bernstein's grotesque and perverse performances landed him shows opening for big acts such as Nirvana and Soundgarden. Steven Jesse Bernstein committed suicide on October 22, 1991 by stabbing himself in the throat three times.
