Stala & SO. is a Finnish band influenced by 70s and 80s glam rock. The band was formed in 1997 and was originally called SO. The band released several EPs before finally releasing their self-produced debut album in 2011. At the end of 2010 the band got much publicity, especially in the Finnish media, when the band changed their name and decided to try out for the position of the Finnish entry for the Eurovision Song Constest of 2011, which resulted in the band's lead singer Stala getting kicked out of his other band Lordi where he was the drummer Kita. Coincidentally Stala & SO.'s bass player Nick Gore is also an ex-Lordi member (bass player Kalma) and former SO.-drummer Renska Koivisto has been a roadie for Lordi.
