Sophist is a three piece band from West Chester Pa that was founded in 2007 as a side project. The band started with an alternative sound that drastically evolved due primarily to the genres of hardcore, southern rock, and indie music. They have been compared to bands like Black Sabbath and Rage Against The Machine. Sophist has paved their own path artistically while keeping an attitude that is apathetic toward negative criticism.
