Skrewdriver are one of the most notorious bands of all time. Led by self proclaimed Nazi Ian Stuart, Skrewdriver pioneered the genre of Rock Against

band.Skrewdriver originally formed in Blackpool England in 1976, from the ashes of Ian Stuarts first band, The Tumbling Dice, a rolling stones
tribute band, Ian Stuart had seen the Sex Pistols and decided that he wanted to be in a punk band rather than just play covers of old songs. Skrewdriver
moved to London to get more followers, but hey didn't even have a name until they recorded their first music and the guy who put out their album asked
if they liked the name skrewdriver and they did, and it stuck.Skrewdriver played from 1976-1979 and released a few EPs and one LP, "All Skrewed Up",
which is considered a classic by most punks and skinheads racist and anti-racist. The band had always had a violent following because they became a
skinhead band in 1977 and that wanker, Bob Geldof from the Boomtown Rats, was even knocked unconscious at one of their concerts.Skrewdriver
broke up in 79' due a lack of gigs but Ian Stuart Resurrected the band in 1982 with new members, this line up would later be the notorious racist band.
But first they released an EP called "Back With a Bang" which featured a re recording of one of their songs off of "All Skrewed Up" and a new song. The
Album was popular among punks and skinheads, but people were nervous that Skrewdriver were nazis because at the time they reformed the nazi
skinhead scene was growing. There fears came true later that year when Ian raised his hand in a Nazi salute and sang the song, "Tomorrow Belongs To
Me". Ian Was working with the British National Front, a Neo-Nazi group and they began putting out Skrewdriver albums, including the White Power EP
which was considered the most evil record of all time by the press. Ian also made a deal with Herbert Egoldt, Owner of a German record label called
Rock-O-Rama and every skrewdriver LP came out on Rock-O-Rama. In 1984 Skrewdriver released the Hail The New Dawn LP and recorded the Blood
and Honour LP with help on guitars from former 4-skins guitarist Paul Swain.Ian got a year in jail for getting a brawl with some Africans who
attacked him for being a skinhead and wrote several songs behind bars which would later become the White Rider LP. The White Rider LP was Released
in 1987 and is a more rock n' roll album and a lot less punk rock/oi than Skrewdriver's Early work they also released Warlord in 1988.Ian was eventually
so fed up with blacks & police harassing him in London that he moved to the country side where he could tour more often and met a guitarist named
Steve "Stigger" Caladine, Who later became Skrewdriver's lead guitarist.They went to Germany and the whole band was arrested except for Ian, who
later released an EP with a group called Rough Justice asking for justice for what happened to his band. His wish came true and eventually they
were all set free. Skrewdriver encountered more troubles in 1992 when they held a massive gig in London and their fans were attacked by armed
protestors and a riot broke out.Skrewdriver Released one last LP called Hail victory, Ian never saw it released because his car crashed in 1993 due to
suspected vehicle tampering, his death also crippled the Nazi Skinhead movement it still has never fully recovered from his death.
