Hailing from Los Angeles, Shaimus are an alternative-rock quintet similar in the vein of Phantom Planet, Guster, and Rooney, but are able to distance themselves to a remarkable degree. Shaimus were arguably first recognized in the popular Guitar Hero video game series, where "All of This" was an unlockable track. The band's mellow, sauntering vibe emanates throughout their material, but have no qualms about writing some heavier-hitting material.
