Scar Symmetry is a melodic death metal band from Sweden formed in 2004. In addition to typical melodicdeathmetalaesthetics(numerousmelodies and
harmonies in the guitars, growling vocals, etc.), they incorporate symphonic soundsintotheirmusic.They also utilize acombination of clean vocals, which
some fans find akin to power metal. Therefore their style isoftendescribedas"New Melodic Death". Theirlyrics are themed towards mysticism, philosophy,
and inner struggles.
