Since 2019, rolodex darko has been perfecting a singular brand of violent, unorthodox noise. Led by the dynamic vocals of Roberta "Bob" Stan, a former choir singer, the band fuse hardcore, alternative metal, and noise music with brutal energy and theatrical live performances. Lyrically, the band cover diverse subjects—religion, power, humour, and death, among others—through the lens of female empowerment.In August 2020, rolodex darko recorded two songs at Jukasa Studios, in Ohsweken, Ontario, with producer Darren "Jeter" Magierowski (Alexisonfire, Protest the Hero, Cancer Bats). A Canadian tour, postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is in the works for summer 2022.
