RAVENCULT spawned in existence during 2001 in order to revive the relentless and straightforward side of Black Metal. Choosing an
unpolished, organic sound for their musical expression, RAVENCULT has gradually developed their style to become a soulful crossing between
early Black Metal and the dynamics of old thrash metal. The four piece has established their presence in the metal underground with a series

RAVENCULT spawned in existence during 2001 in order to revive the relentless and straightforward side of Black Metal. Choosing an
unpolished, organic sound for their musical expression, RAVENCULT has gradually developed their style to become a soulful crossing between
early Black Metal and the dynamics of old thrash metal. The four piece has established their presence in the metal underground with a series
of demos, 7” EP and their 2007 debut “Temples Of Torment” on norwegian Dark Essence Records; the latter recorded at Molla studio Norway
and produced by Arcturus mastermind Knut M. Valle.
The echo of their first official release was a wide range of praising reviews worldwide and extensive live activities to promote the "Temples Of
Torment" album, including single dates, festival appearences as well as two european tours (Setherial / Corpus Christii / Ravencult European
Tour 2007 and Krisiun / Rotting Christ / Ravencult Summer Rituals Tour 2008). RAVENCULT is a dedicated live act and throughout the years
of their existence they have shared the stage with major acts of the metal milieu such as Mayhem, Behemoth, Aura Noir, Satyricon,
Carpathian Forest, Arcturus, Zemial, Impaled Nazarene, Watain, Absu, Rotting Christ, Varathron, Impiety amongst others.
They have participated in a series of both well established and underground festivals like Inferno Metal Festival Norway, Festung Open Air
Germany, Sathanas In Gloriam Holland, Nacht Der Drohende Schaten Germany etc and have performed in most european strongholds of
metal, many Balkan countries and of course their homeland Greece. 2009 was a year of constant rehearsing and composing, leading
RAVENCULT to present their newest abomination entitled "Morbid Blood". A testament of real Black Thrashing Metal delivered with fanatic
devotion, featuring coverart by longtime collaborator of the band, Chris Moyen.
RAVENCULT, stand strongest than ever amidst the over-produced, meaningless and plain soulless modern metal of our times, following a no-
frills, in your face rawness that is more common to the punk sensibilities of the primal bands of the scene. As opposed to the over-exposed
and almost gimmicky bands of the 00's, which seem to have drifted away from the organic and truthful ways of the old, RAVENCULT conjures
forth the sounds of morbidity with utter respect towards the true essence of the genre and a pure old style mentality.
