ROTH BART BARON is a folk rock band based in Tokyo, Japan. Masaya Mifune (vocals/guitar), Tetsuya Nakahara (drums). ROTH BART BARON’s music is influenced by modern rock and folk music. Their first album “The Ice Age” (2014) was recorded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Brian McTear (Kurt Vile, the War on Drugs) as co-producer and mix engineer Jonathan Low (The National, Sufjan Stevens). The album was selected among best albums of the year by a number of music media. The Sci-fi inspired second album “ATOM” was recorded at the God Speed You! Black Emperor's studio “Hotel2tango” in Montreal, Canada, with domestic local musicians. They also held "US-Tour 2014”, ”ASIA TOUR 2016”, and appeared at ”Big Mountain Music Festival '15" in Thailand, and "PLAYTIME FESTIVAL '16 in Mongolia. Masaya Mifune, the vocal guitarist, performed an attractive stage at the Tokyo show of a “Celebration David Bowie 2017” world tour in February 2017. The band also performed on big music festivals including “SUMMER SONIC”, “FUJI ROCK Festival” in Japan. The band went to London with the funding to work with Bradley Spence (ALT-J, Kasabian) and Alexander Beitzke (James Arthur, Florence + the Machine) in studio. « hide
