Putrefied was formed by Edwin (ex-guitars, ex-Gutwrench, ex-Pentacle) and Toep (drums, Consolation) at the end of 1998 in Den Helder, North Holland. Both had the urge to create mid-paced, downtuned and sick death metal, in the vein of several US-Death Metal bands.
