Pure Reason Revolution were a British rock group formed at Westminster University in 2003, whose music incorporateselementsof progressive
rock and electronica, while its vocal harmonies are reminiscent of Anathema. It has beenvariouslydescribed as 'Astral Folk' and 'New
Prog'. Members have a shared appreciation for the work of bands such as Pink Floyd,LedZeppelin, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and the Super
Furry Animals.
Their sophomore release, Amor Vincit Omnia (2009), saw a drastic change in their sound, incorporating elements of electronica.
