Pete and the Pirates were a Reading, England group that came to prominence in the UK with their debut album, 2008's 'Little Death'. Vice
Magazine awarded it 'Worst Album of the Month' with 0/10 stars. Other reviewers were more praising, and the band began to open for
established acts like Maximo Park and Vampire Weekend.
In 2011, they released 'One Thousand Pictures', which received high praise in the UK press. They were popular guests of Marc Riley on BBC
Radio 6, and headlining several shows in the UK and Europe through October 2012, when they disbanded.
3/4 of Pete and the Pirates regrouped as Teleman, releasing the album 'Breakfast' in October 2014.
