In the Minneapolis music scene, P.O.S. has becomeincreasingly known through his connections with localhip-hopcollectiveRhymesayers Entertainment, and hisCD is sold through their distribution network, includingtheir local store, FifthElement, and their webstore. He isalso distributed through theiTunes music store. P.O.S. isalso a founding member of the up-and-comingDoomtreecrew.
P.O.S. retains his punk rock influence in songs like Kidney Thief, but his music cannot easily be labelled. Hehas described his music as "rap to skateboard to". Using raw drum loops, punk rock bass guitar riffs and sharpwordplay, Alexander has crafted a style that is largely his own. In such songs as Kicking Knowledge in the Face, he rails against those "mainstream"rappers who obsess over material wealth. « hide |
