National Health

Made up of Canterbury Scene musicians Dave Stewart, Phill Miller, Alan Gowen and Pip Pyle, National Health formed in the late 70's. Their music straddled the line between prog rock and jazz fusion. The music is mainly instrumental, and while there is a strong focus on virtuosic performance, the band took composition very seriously and were never content to make music derived from mere instrumental soloing. Will appeal to fans of Hatfield and the North, Henry Cow, Gilgamesh and the like.
