MAZIAC is a London-based progressive metal/alternative rock three-piece influenced by bands like Deftones, Devin Townsend, Mastodon and TOOL. Their debut album 'Forged' & new EP 'Permutations' were mixed & mastered by SikTh vocalist Justin Hill.
Their debut live performance in 2018 supporting The Ever Living prompted positive reviews from the likes of Metal Hammer and soon led to shows with bands such as Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster, On Hollow Ground and Black Orchid Empire.
The spooky music video for their first single ‘Symptomatic’ was premiered by The Circle Pit in April 2019 and was soon followed by their eclectic album 'Forged'. It was described as 'eight tracks of musical magic' by Über Röck with 'pacing and dynamics that have been perfected' by 3 Songs & Out and even 'one of the year's finest moments' by The RingMaster Review.
The band released the follow-up 'Creation Surrender' at the beginning of the lockdown of 2020 then spent the ensuing months rehearsing with new drummer Marco Biagini and writing new material. The new EP 'Permutations' is the product of these months and takes the band in various exciting new directions. It features some of their heaviest moments to date, as well as some of their tenderest (including guest vocals from local Evanescence cover band singer Veronica De Luca). ‘Permutations’ is more experimental and represents a true evolution of their sound - give it a listen! « hide
