Malignant Christ was formed in Seymour, TN during the spring of 2007 by Brandon Von (vocals/guitar) and Lena Johnson (guitar) with the goal of creating simultaneously brutal and atmospheric death metal. Originally they were a satanic band heavily influenced by Deicide but over years their sound had evolved to be more fleshed out, intense, intelligent, and complex while the lyrics have taken on much more of a horror/fantasy theme often bonding bizarre and violent sexuality to the super natural and the occult.
