Long Range Hustle, as a phrase, means thinking about the big picture and playing the long game. Long Range Hustle, as a band, means combining an eclectic set of influences into a harmonious mixture of Canadian rock – a sound that sticks with you long after the record player has stopped.
The band comes from all over, geographically and musically, but these days they like to call Toronto their hometown. They are Paul Brogee (Vox, Guitar, Violin), AJ Fisico (Drums, Percussion, Vox), Jay Foster (Vox, Piano, Organ), and Josh Weiss (Guitar, Vox). Their diverse musical upbringings span rock, folk, classical, and jazz, and they fuse these differences together to create their own unique sound.
More than anything else, Long Range Hustle is a live band. An LRH show doesn’t pull any punches, leaving the stage soaked in sweat. “We try to end each set at the point where we couldn’t play another song even if we wanted to. That’s the kind of energy we like to shoot for” –Paul Brogee. Notably, they recently played a televised set at the inaugural Wired City Music Festival in Toronto. It’s worth catching them live as they play throughout Ontario and Quebec.
On March 27th 2015, Long Range Hustle released their sophomore record: "From Seedlings to Saplings..." The album was recorded over the span of a year at Escarpment Sound Studio with Ryan Pritchard in the producer chair and Brian Hewson at the mixing board. The result is a recording that captures the energy and emotions found at a live Long Range Hustle concert. "From Seedlings to Saplings..." is available now on Bandcamp, iTunes, Rdio, and Spotify.
