Lines Taking Shape spawned from Tabula Rasa, a project of Knoxville-based, prog rock oddballs Logan Davis, Paul Seguna,
Garret Keith and Eric Gedenk. The path toward its first concept album spanned various locations, mental states, aural
incarnations, and years of planning and self-production. It was appropriately titled Tabula Rasa to encompass this time span.
When the album was finally released in early 2014, the band decided to move forward using the name Lines Taking Shape to
once again encompass the spirit of the times.

Lines Taking Shape draws from influences all across the musical spectrum, and prides itself in remaining largely free of genre
labels. The band's eclectic, quirky blend of arrangements represents the diversity amongst the members themselves. Despite
having multiple timing or tempo changes in a song, odd phrasings, and layers of overrides in its music, Lines Taking Shape
always tries to remain accessible and interesting for fans who are willing to step outside the realm of genre themselves and
listen to its music for what it is--honest, raw, multifaceted, complex, and passionate. « hide |
