American jazz guitarist who started off his recording career at 16 as a guest on a Mamas & the Papas recording session. Ritenour went on to have a varied career where he released some solo jazz fusion/jazz pop/smooth jazz LPs, contributed stealthily to Pink Floyd recordings, and had a hand in founding a smooth jazz quartet called Foreplay.
