Kill The Witness

Formed in 2008, Kill The Witness are one of the heaviest and most brutal bands to emerge from Grahamstown, South Africa. Originally comprising of Benji on sole guitar (Night's Templar), Will on vocals, and Craig on drums (Timmy Likes Milk, Aether), the band set out to write merciless, fast-paced and technical metal simply for the sake of having fun and writing music. In 2009, realising that 3 was not enough, the band added Brent on second guitar and Duncan on bass, and have since hired a manager, in the form of Lav N. Kill The Witness's first song, 'The Invasion', showcases the bands style with a thrash meets death metal vibe. Now with two new originals under their belts ('Thrill of The Kill', and the instrumental 'Fuck, Gimme a Second'), as well as a solid cover of Coal Chamber's 'Fiend' and a couple new songs in the works (including a cover of 'Rose of Sharyn', originally by Killswitch Engage), the band have become Grahamstown's most established metal act. Add to that a number of shows under their belts, opening for bands such as Motara, The Dead Will Tell, Fire Like You, Locus Standi and The City Bowl Mizers, Merchant of Menace, The Modes, Dear Martyr, a handful of shows at the Grahamstown Arts's Festival in June, and an upcoming tour to Cape Town in September, the band are slowly gaining the attention they deserve. Not only that, but Kill The Witness have recently received a sponsorship by Converse. So keep your eyes open and your ears ready, because KTW are not slowing down for anybody.
