Jože Kampič, Slovenian jazz accordionist, saxophonist, clarinetist and music producer, * 23 September 1930, Jesenice, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, † November 2001. He was the first accordion player to introduce five-part chord playing on the piano accordion and among the first to prove that the accordion is a very useful instrument for performing modern jazz and pop music. He was distinguished by extraordinary technical knowledge. In the 1950s, he had his own quintet, but after its breakup, he joined the RTV Ljubljana Dance Orchestra as a saxophonist and clarinetist, where he worked as a music producer from 1960 until the end of the 1980s.
