The Hawaiian God of Ukulele, Israel also known as Iz, released several albums with the group Makaha Sons of Niʻihau. They became one of Hawaii's most popular music groups. In 1990 Iz took on his solo career until he passed away in 1997 of weight related issues. With his soothing voice and his 4 stringed sidekick he remains one of the most influential artists in island music.
