Inner Sanctum was a British progressive/technical/thrash metal band from Suffolk. Initially active between 1988 and 1995, they released a number of demos which would eventually be compiled into an anthology and re-released in 2013. In 1995, the band renamed to Fifth Season and eventually managed to release a full length studio album before disbanding in 2000. In 2012 some former members would get together once more to form Synaptik, playing a more modernised version of progressive power/thrash.
