Coming from Nashville, Tennessee, Hammock is a post rock outfit that is comprised of Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson. Theirsound is onethat implements atmospheric droning guitars, electronic beats, and a hint of shoegaze to create ambientsoundscapes.Despite being active since only 2004, Hammock have been consistent in their releasing of records, including their full lengthdebut,Kenotic (2004), the Stranded Under Endless Sky EP and second full length The Sleep-Over Series (Volume 1) in 2005, andtheir most recent Raising Your Voice... Trying to Stop an Echo in 2006.
