Alternative rock is one of the largest genres inside modern music today, and that is truly fortunate for Houston born Grae Metropolis. This innovative band that plays music that flows through captivating melodies then dives into ear-catching riffs, creating a sound that uniquely sells itself. Their music contains influences from such a diverse genre that before it is discovered where the influences have originated from it is really just easier to deem it something new altogether. Privately playing and developing for several years together, Grae Metropolis was little more than an aspiration and a vision that was sensed even before high school began. This was long time friends Clark (guitar/vocals), Tony (drums), and Lyle (guitar). But with the arrival of Austin (bass), Grae Metropolis steadily developed from a dream to a reality which is entirely parallel to their music which began as an emulation of their influences and became a startlingly genuine force culminating from their years of instrumental experience together. The four young Houstonians are currently working on their second album which confirms a more developed quality of music that entices the listener with a hardcore motif mixed in through many songs in the album. Grae Metropolis is currently doing what they really enjoy doing the most—performing for local venues and charities as well as throwing their own benefits to support organizations that aid impoverished children around the world. « hide
