Genetix is the combination of Hoax and DJ Tron. Forming around 3 years ago the duo concentrated mainly on jump up drum & bass and found that working together was a winning formula. Having produced they're fair share of drum & bass Matt and Rich decided to try their hand at dubstep. Matt had recently done a track called "Jehrico" under his Hoax alias which turned out well hitting 150,000 views on UKF's you tube channel. With that in mind the guys decided to do something on a similar vein to Jehrico but with a dirtier angle. They came up with the track "Squid Attack". With big boy Funtcase jumping on it straight away it wasn't long before the rest of the circus crew started hammering it. The track featured on the massive circus records podcast mixed by Flux Pavilion where it caught the attention of Z Audio. Squid Attack is now forthcoming as part of a 3 track EP on Audio Phreaks in December under their new Dubstep alias "Genetix" along with another EP on Z Audio due soon. The EP is receiving massive support from the likes of Nero, Dr P, Statelapse and Downlink to name a few with "Squid Attack" sparking quite an amusing debate on you tube. Hopefully this will settle it!
