GNR, aka Grupo Novo Rock, are a Portuguese pop rock band formed in Porto. In the beginning of 1981, during the Portuguese Rock Boom, by
Alexandre Soares (voice and guitar), Vitor Rua (guitar) and Tóli César Machado (drums).
Currently the band is formed by Toli César Machado (guitar and keys), Jorge Romão (bass) and Rui Reininho (vocals).
