In early 1991 METAL BLADE RECORDS selected the title track from the e.p. DEMENTIA BY DESIGN as the third track on METAL MASSACRE volume 11. Shortly thereafter (late '91) the band signed with Germany's MASSACRE RECORDS, before traveling to Germany in Feb '92 to record their debut l.p. STRANGER THAN FICTION. The album sold well in Europe and established the band in a great light The band recorded and released their follow up, DIVISION in '94 which was released worldwide, receiving great reviews on both sides of the Atlantic, continuing to tour with the likes of SEPULTURA, DREAM THEATER, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN & TESTAMENT. In '96 with metal at an all-time low, the band recorded their heaviest work to date: FORTE III DESTRUCTIVE. The album was released featuring new vocalist DAVID THOMPSON. The band moved forward once again touring and supporting SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, TESTAMENT, EXODUS & KING DIAMOND as well as headlining shows in the U.S. In 1999 the band released their fourth album RISE ABOVE, once again receiving great reviews. Tours with Death, Hammerfall, Testament, and Manowar followed. Due to personal/family obligations, and lack of promotion for the album, the band ended their ties with the label, continuing to perform live with such acts as SOLITUDE AETURNUS, NILE, MORBID ANGEL, CELLADOR, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, etc.... Now for the first time in over a decade...Forte is preparing a new album (Fall/ Winter '09) « hide
