Forest Silence is a side-project by Winter, who is known for his work with Sear Bliss. While the latter uses horns and melody to distinguish themselves, Forest Silence prefers to use a more raw approach.
Through long elaborate songs, the musical equivalent of a wintry walk through dark forests in the moonlight is reproduced. Gloomy melodies and atmospheric keys in the background are the ingredients that make up this album. 'Prophecies Of Winter' mixes the dragging and hypnotism of the better works by Burzum and the slow but grim melodies of Limbonic Art. All this culminates in an interesting wintry aural surrounding only a few bands are capable of producing.
