Funk Federation created a brand of funk rock very much in the mould of late eighties Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Faith no More with
an added world music flavour. In 1990 a burgeoning fan base prompted Epic Music to sign the band. In 1990 the bands debut effort

firepower the band toured throughout Europe and North America in the early 1990's appearing at landmark venues such as the Parc
des Princes and Glastonbury. Their second album, however, Free for Fever was only a moderate success, while their third album,
Fragile, spawned the semi-hit single Barbés. However, the gradual decline of the funk rock genre stimulated a lack musical direction
within the band forced them to disband in 2001. In 2014 the group announced their return along with a number of tour dates
across Europe, and performances on French national radio and television. « hide |
