Earshot formed in 1999 as a blend of moody yet melodic metal which is heavily influenced by Tool, particularly with their debutalbum. Vocalist Will Martin also exhibits an obvious influence on his vocals from Maynard James Keenan. They were signed byWarner Bros. and released their first album Letting Go in 2002, which included the hit singles "Headstrong" and "Get Away". After that, they released the album Two in 2004, with the hit single "Wait".
