Doomsday Astronaut is an instrumental Metal band founded by Waqas Ahmed, a virtuoso guitar player originally from Lahore, Pakistan. Waqas has been playing guitar since the age of 15 and was part of the underground heavy metal scene in Lahore with bands Odyssey, Kain and Orion. Currently he lives in Romania where he works as a guitar teacher. He is also the found member and lead guitarist of the Romanian metal band Alpha Q.
