Cobra Khan were a punk/hardcore band from New Zealand who rose from the wreckage of NZ hard hitters Sommerset, Day One and Balance. Fusing the melodic sensibilities of Sommerset with a fire in the eye attitude of The Bleeders, Cobra Khan never fully got the recognition they deserved. They released a four-track EP titled "Sleepless Lions" in 2006, with the single Wrapped in Plastic recieving generous airtime on NZ music television.
