A side project of Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and Aaron Dessner (The National), possibly featuring other collaborators from beloved indie acts. After contributing a titular song to the 2009 charity compilation Dark Was the Night, the project largely went quiet barring a few live performances at Vernon's Eaux Claires festival.
