Before Braille

This band formed in 1999 in Mesa, AZ, when lead singer David Jensen and guitarist Hans Ringger joined forces. Both had attended high school together and then did some traveling before hooking up again. Citing Fugazi and the DIY ethos as major influences, Before Braille slowly began composing songs, adding bass player Brandon Smith and then drummer Kelly Reed. In the fall of 2002, Before Braille released its debut album, The Rumor, on Aezra Records. The band has performed throughout the American Southwest and Pacific Coast. ~ Jason MacNeil, All Music Guide In addition to this they have released several other EP's and LP's with the addition of guitar progressive Rajiv Patel who helped with recording on The Rumor they have evolved their sound to be unique with every verse and every lyric, no hook lines repeated over the same chorus here, just poetry turned into music, art at its finest. « hide
