The BBC Symphony Orchestra (not to be confused with BBC Philharmonic) was founded in London in 1930. It has fielded high profile conductors
such as Pierre Boulez, Antal Dorati and Colin Davis and remains critically and commercially successful to this day.
The John Alldis Choir was founded in 1962 by chorus master John Alldis. In addition to covering a variety of styles in Western classical music, it has
also branched into popular culture. The choir was featured on Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother" and also helped Luciano Pavarotti attain worldwide
success, recording a rendition of Puccini's "Turandot" with him in 1973.
