Regarded as one of the most naturally gifted pianists of the 20th Century, Artur Rubinstein (English: Arthur Rubinstein) was especially renowned
for his interpretations of Chopin's work. Born in Łódź, Poland on January 28, 1887, Rubinstein demonstrated perfect pitch at the age of two and
began learning piano shortly after, performing in public at age of seven. His professional career spanned eight decades, in which time he
supported numerous charities and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through public fundraising performances. He died peacefully in his
home in Geneva, in 1982. He was 95 years old.
