Alcest is a French, one-man metal project formed by Neige (of Peste Noire, Mortifera, Amesoeurs). His earlier music often resembles blackmetal, with lo-fi production and other typical characteristics of the genre. In more recent years, Neige began recording music that resembles ablend of dense, sometimes blackened metal and shoegaze, with lyrical themes mainly focused on nostalgia and melancholy.http://alcest.bandcamp.comSouvenirs d'un Autre Monde, was released on August 3rd 2007 through Prophecy Productions.Écailles De Lune was released on March 29th 2010 through Prophecy Productions2014 saw the release of Shelter, which dropped all past Black Metal influences in favour of a more Shoegaze driven sound.
