The official website of 137 describe their sound to have originated in the "remote woodlands of Michigan". What follows is a mix of doom and sludge initiated by vocalist/bassist Keith Baughman during 1997, soon compunded by a five track EP in 2001. In 2004 the band made a split recording with fellow counterparts Elusive Travel, and the following year their more successful four track in 2005, keeping a farly consistent lineup in the process.
