Powderfinger are a successful rock band from Brisbane, Australia. They formed in 1989, with the current line-up established in 1992 after the addition of guitarist Darren Middleton and exit of drummer Steven Bishop.Since that year, Powderfinger have released a consistent stream of critically acclaimed albums and EP's, leading to their placing amongst some of the biggest bands in the country. With multiple #1 albums and various industry awards, Powderfinger are arguably the most successful mainstream rock act in Australia for the last ten years.
