Soon after Sony BMG took them under contract, Hoffmann hired David Jost and Pat Benzner into the team of
creatorsandauthors,andhadthemgivetheteens instruction on songwriting and instrument playing; most of the songs of the first album
werewrittenbyHoffmann, JostandBenzer(includingthesingles Scream and Rescue Me which were completely written by them),
onlythesinglePlayUnendlichkeit waswrittencompletely byTokioHotelthemselves. However, shortly before release of their first album,Sonyterminatedtheir
contract. In 2005,UniversalMusic Group took TokioHotelundercontract and developed a marketing plan. Thebandhas now become one ofthe biggest acts
