Kashmir

Danish rock band, formed in 1991 by Kasper Eistrup, Mads Tunebjerg and Asger Techau. The band released the debut Travelogue in 1994 and which gained them some recognition among rock fans. Danish rock band, formed in 1991 by Kasper Eistrup, Mads Tunebjerg and Asger Techau. The band released the debut Travelogue in 1994 and which gained them some recognition among rock fans. Today it's still a fan-favorite because of the blend of alternative rock, funk, and heavy blues. 1996's Cruzential took a more experimental direction. Kashmir's breakthrough The Good Life from 1999, which in turn took a more mainstream approach, placed the band on the map as one of the most popular bands in Denmark. Over the next few years the band moved towards a more pop-rock orientated sound. After the critic-praised album Zitilites was released in the summer of 2003, Henrik Lindstrand (keyboards, guitar) was officially added as the fourth member of the band. During most of 2004-05 Kashmir was touring around the country and later going in the studio to record their fifth studio album No Balance Palace . Anticipation was huge, since they sat a milestone in Danish rock history with The Good Life and the follow-up Zitilites. Once again the band was ready to surprise critics and fans alike. The album features David Bowie on the track 'The Cynic'. In late 2005 the album was followed up by a succesful tour in- and outside Denmark. « hide
