Magazine's music had an incalculable impact on post-punk music of the late 1970s and early 1980s and continues to bean influence in modern music today. Radiohead in particular draws on the lyrical style of the group, and former Smiths'singer Morrissey covered "A Song From Under The Floorboards" during his 2006 world tour, and released it as a B-side onsome versions of the single for "The Youngest Was the Most Loved".
