Pitbulls in the Nursery are a technical/progressive death metal outfit hailing from Rambouillet, France. Their music combines the heaviness and
technicality of modern death metal with experimental and jazz influences. Originally forming in 2001, the band released their first full-length,
'Lunatic' in 2006, to relatively high recognition and subsequent critical acclaim. In 2008 the band suffered a series of setbacks culminating in

the loss of founding vocalist Julien 'Panda' Foucault and the bankruptcy of their label, Black Lotus Records. After a period of unofficial hiatus,
the band were revitalized by the acquisition off a new vocalist in 'Tersim Backle', and began writing music which incorporated even more
sophisticated experimentation within the framework of technical and groove orientated death metal. In 2015 the group's long-awaited
sophomore opus 'Equanimity' was released under the independent label Klonosphere. « hide |
