Dishwalla is an alternative rock band from Santa Barbara California. The band's name comes from an Indian term for a person providing cable television to a neighborhood. In a Vox interview, Rodney claimed the band took the name out of a Wired magazine article.
Dishwalla’s music is an emotional experience. After 3 jears of hitatus, Dishwalla is retunring on stage. Dishwalla performed two live shows in July featuring special guest vocalist Justin Fox of the band Tripdavon. J.R. Richards' solo debut album has been completed and is titled 'A Beautiful End.' It is tentatively scheduled to be released in early 2009.
