Phil Keaggy

Phil Keaggy is one of the most brilliant acoustic guitarists to ever record music. A born- again Christian, he left his '60s power trio Glass Harp after a bout with drugs that coincided with the death of a family member and devoted his not-inconsiderable electric guitar chops to the creation of entirely acoustic instrumental music within the Christian Contemporary format. As he has limited the amount of exposure he can recieve due to the idiosyncratic nature of his chosen genre, he is not widely known even to fans of his style of music. Nevertheless, he has been credited by no less than Jimi Hendrix with being the best all-around guitarist on the planet, and any listen to his albums of acoustic or electric would seem to solidify that impression.
