Formed in high school by friends Kevin Young (vocals/bass), Brad Noah (guitar), and Tim Barrett (drums), Disciple is one of the greatest names in Christian metal. They released the My Daddy Can Whip Your Daddy Ep in 1997 and By God in 1999. This Might Sting a Little and Back Again followed in 2001 and 2003.Then, Disciple changed. Kevin stopped playing bass as they added Joey Fife to play bass. Their self-titled album, released in 2005, changed their sound significantly from staightforward metal to something that can best be described as nu-metal.
